A Few Things Worth Knowing.
Do I keep ownership of my song?
Yes. Uploading does not transfer ownership to SODA MACHINE. You grant the limited permission needed to process and display your submission through the service. Read the Songwriter Terms.
Who can access songs inside the Machine?
The discovery catalog is for approved Industry Pro accounts and authorized administrators, subject to applicable permissions and Terms. You retain access to your own submissions.
Does SODA guarantee my song will be heard or placed?
No. SODA provides a searchable discovery opportunity. It does not guarantee a listen, contact, selection, placement, signing, cut, or recording.
What happens if my song does not qualify?
You receive the report and can use its feedback to revise your song. Each revised review requires another credit. The current limits are three completed reviews per song, up to two reviews of the same song and five account reviews in a rolling 24 hours.
Can I submit AI-assisted music?
Yes, provided you own or control the necessary rights or are authorized to submit it. For each song, you must disclose whether the lyrics and melody are fully human-created and how AI was used in the recording, including the tools used. AI-generated recordings still need an accurate disclosure and must meet the same submission and readiness requirements.
What audio files can I upload?
MP3 only, at least 192 kbps, no larger than 15 MB, and no longer than 4 minutes 30 seconds. A clean 256–320 kbps export is recommended. Include your lyrics and the per-song ownership and AI-use disclosure.
How long are credits valid?
Credits expire three months after purchase or receipt. Review the expiration dates in your account before using or buying credits.
