How reviews, scoring, pricing, activation, ownership, and professional access work inside SODA MACHINE.
How do I get my song heard by A&R?
Create a songwriter account, submit a review-ready MP3 and lyrics, receive the AI A&R report, and—if the song scores 75 or higher—choose whether to activate it in the catalog searched by approved industry professionals.
How much does an AI A&R review cost?
Each review costs 25 cents. Review credits are purchased four at a time for $1. There is no recurring songwriter subscription.
What score does a song need to enter the catalog?
A song must score 75 or higher to qualify for optional catalog activation.
Does a passing score guarantee an A&R contact or song cut?
No. A score is a screening result, not a promise of contact, placement, recording, release, or commercial success.
What audio files can I upload?
Upload an MP3 at 192 kbps or higher, no larger than 15 MB and no longer than 4 minutes 30 seconds. A clean 256 or 320 kbps export is recommended.
Can I submit a revised version?
Yes. A revised version can be submitted for another review. Each completed review uses one review credit.
Do I give up ownership of my song?
No. You retain ownership, but you must own or control the rights necessary to submit the song and make the required ownership and AI-use disclosures.
Who can search the song catalog?
Catalog access is intended for approved music industry professionals whose identity and professional information have been reviewed by SODA MACHINE.
How long do credits last?
Purchased and granted credits expire three months after they are issued. Your songwriter dashboard shows the applicable expiration information.
For contractual details, review the Terms, Privacy Policy, and Refund Policy.
